Autumn Changes

Not a surprise to see Dinkey Creek so low given the light winter last year, this is upstream from the bridge.  This new sign signals a change in the neighborhood. Placed at the entrance down to the mill site off the Dinkey Road it's not low profile.
Getting ready for the winter Andrew, Jim, and Jane turned off the water to the log cabin and drained the pipes, turned off the water in the cabin when we left, and closed the shutters. Jane also cleverly turned the heat up to 55 but FORGOT to slide the switch to turn on the furnace.
We also prepared for winter by having Mike from Mountain Appliance in Auberry come fix the clothes dryer only, oops, he turned on the dryer and it worked. No on has a clue as to why it didn't work and now it does. He pointed out the 220 outlet and said the electricily is cheaper than propane for clothes drying in this area so next time the dryer decides to take a vacation it will be replaced with electricity.

Next person up needs to turn on the furnace and take up the following:
Olive oil, butter, frozen OJ, a case of diet Snapple, and some mouse Dcon. We don't need any beer, wine or chips, but maybe a couple more rolls of TP.
